What is your rate?
Our service model combines therapy sessions and parent consultations together in 12-week blocks, to ensure progress occurs in between in-person sessions. For more information, see here.
can i sit in on my child’s session?
Our service model focuses on parent education through separate consultation. Parents are welcome to observe to assist with learning, however our space can get quite busy; therefore, we have a designated seating area and request only one parent present per child at a time.
Please note: if you choose to participate in your child’s session, screens are not permitted. Phone calls must be taken outside.
can i drop my child off?
We do require you to speak with your child’s OT at the beginning of each session. We are conveniently located next to a shopping center, in case you have an errand to run. Please be respectful and return on time to pick your child up, as we cannot supervise them outside their session time.
how long is each session?
Each therapeutic hour includes 45-50 minutes direct treatment and discussion, as well as 5 minutes at the end of session to debrief, and 5 minutes to document.
How frequently will my child need OT sessions?
This depends on many factors, including both your and our scheduling and availability for sessions, intensity of concerns, and availability for carryover at home between sessions. Each child is different; depending on your child’s areas of difficulty and our clinical findings. For more information on treatment options to meet your family’s needs, click here.
Do you have parking?
We do! We have 6 parking stalls: 2 directly in front of our office, and 4 more directly across. All are marked by our signage.
are my other children allowed to be present?
Unfortunately siblings and other children in your care are not able to participate in or observe therapy sessions.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
You do not. If you plan to use Extended Medical Benefits to pay for your child’s OT sessions, you will be required to pay up front and submit your receipts to your provider. Please check with your provider to determine the paperwork they require prior to reimbursement.
can my child see more than 1 ot?
We typically recommend your child work primarily with 1 OT in order to establish a therapeutic relationship. Our team is always available to see your child if your regular OT is away.
what if i need to cancel my session?
If you need to cancel your child’s OT session for illness, unexpected events, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered one makeup session. Any additional cancels within your child’s therapy block are non-refundable.
what if my child is sick?
If your child is sick or contagious, has lice or a skin rash, or has ANY symptoms related to cold or flu, please cancel your appointment to avoid spreading illness. Please try to give us as much notice as possible, and always give us a call if you are unsure whether to bring your child in based on their symptoms.
do you have wifi?
We respectfully ask that you refrain from using screens in our office. Our child-friendly spaces are screen-free environments, to promote interaction and decrease aggression in our clients who are triggered by screens.
Is your location wheelchair accessible?
It is! Our therapy space is located on the main floor, with a small waiting area and accessible bathroom. Our administrative staff and quieter therapy spaces are located upstairs. If your child uses a wheelchair, they will be able to access all therapy spaces. If the caregiver uses a wheelchair, please let us know and we can meet you downstairs.
